With over 20 years of fishing experience in the UK, I have developed a love for Stillwater and river fishing for trout. From using small dry flies to tempt that elusive wild brownie lurking in an eddy to using a team of buzzers on a large reservoir, my flies have been proven to catch fish. I tie most styles and patterns but my passion is for dry flies. If you are looking for an entire box of flies for an upcoming trip or just need some of your favourite proven patterns duplicating I can help. I use the very best of materials at all times to ensure that my flies last as long as the fish will let them. If you are ever dissatisfied with my flies I will always try to rectify any problems.

I was first taught to fly fish at the age of 14 at Toft Newton Reservoir in Lincolnshire. I soon fell in love with the sport and continued to fish with my father before I left to join the Army. Throughout my career I fished where possible and would often provide trout to senior Officers and their families after a successful days sport. I was also lucky enough to fish in the Falklands for sea trout and mullet. On leaving the Army to support my wife and daughter I was able to really increase my fly tying and after much encouragement from friends and family I decided to launch Apache Flies.

“Great day out with the flies I won in a competition a few weeks back- some almost too beautiful to fish with but these trout loved your Wally wing mayflies!!”
